Managing Your To-Do List

To-Do List Management

Are you constantly adding items to your to-do list instead of crossing them off?

I’m going to tell you the greatest tip I ever received about how to prioritize the items on my to-do list!

First, write everything down that you need to do that day/week. (I wouldn’t recommend a time-frame longer than a week.)

Then, use numbers 1-3 to categorize the items on your list based on the list below:

  1. Serving current clients
  2. Converting hot prospects
  3. Deepening relationships with cold prospects

No matter what your business is about, whether it’s product or service based, these are the high-value activities that will make you money and grow your business.

After you’re done numbering, rewrite the list, putting the number 1s first, and so on.

If some of the items on your list don’t fit into the categories above, simply put them at the bottom of the list. If you have time for them, then great! If not, then it’s just too bad. If you didn’t get to it, then obviously something had to be cut. It might as well be something that isn’t directly helping your business to grow.

It seems simple, but this tip was pure gold for me when I was starting my business. I was spending way too much time worried about how my website looked instead of connecting with the people I wanted to serve!

I hope this tip can help you out as well!
