How to Set Prices

Do you often wonder if you’re not charging your customers enough? Or that you’re charging them too much?

Setting prices was something that always tripped me up in the beginning.

Asking for an hourly rate seemed counter-intuitive to me. After all, the more I got acquainted with a business (and the better I got at bookkeeping in general,) the faster things would get done. I would get paid less as I gained more experience and excellence.

That didn’t make any sense at all!!

That’s when I learned about value-pricing. I know what my services are worth, and it’s more than just getting business owners tax deductions to save them money. I save them TONS of stress because I’m taking care of something that overwhelms them.

From then on, I decided to publish a set-price for everyone, with the contingency that I could increase the price if the business was HUGE (to protect myself.) I know what I’m worth now.

Guess what? You do more for people than just take pictures. You create beautiful memories for them to look back on for decades. You do more than just make clothes/accessories. You help women feel better about being in their own skin.

Know your worth. Then, charge like it.
