You have dreams for your business, don’t know? A wish list? Wild ideas about where you want to be in 5 years? 10?
Setting goals is all about taking those dreams and creating a plan to make them a reality!
I like to think about my goals one year at a time. At the beginning of each year, I sit down and think about all of the things I want to accomplish by December 31st.
Then, I break it down by months. How much do I need to get done on average each month in order to reach my goals by December 31st?
Then, I break each month down by weeks. You get the idea.
As the year goes on, I have to make changes and adapt my plans in order to reach my goals. Life isn’t predictable, and your plans aren’t set in stone.
Here is an example of a current goal I have:
Yearly: I want to read 15 new books in 2021.
Monthly: I have to read AT LEAST one book a month in order to reach my goal. Some months, I will need to read two.
Weekly: I need to set aside reading time each week in order to read at least one book a month. I will start by reading 2-3 hours a week and see if that is enough.
Do you have some goals about outsourcing your bookkeeping this year?
